Donna Jander is the immediate past president and charter member of the Kiwanis Youth
Development and Support Club of San Diego and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lake
Murray. She is also a Zeller and Dunlap Fellow, as well as a Champion for Children. Donna is
passionate about Key Leader and has served as the District’s Administrator for Key Leader for
three years, although she has been involved with Key Leader in the District since it began. She
is ironically married to Gary and they share the same two children, although she is the reason
they turned out so well.
In her professional life Donna is an elementary school teacher with over 10 years of classroom
experience. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Education from National University and is a certified
math specialist. She also has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of
California Riverside and a Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Duke
University. It is easy to tell who is the smarter of the two! Before entering the teaching
profession, Donna ran her own Physical Therapy practice, worked in a variety of clinical
settings and ended her career as the director of Physical Therapy at Alvarado Hospital in San
Diego. She is also an active member of the ministry team at Mission Trails Church and with
youth baseball.
